Happy to share with you the news that People’s Trust was one of the recipients for an Award given by the  Indian Red Cross Society – Karnataka Branch on the occasion of Voluntary Blood Donation Day – held on the 1st of October 2011 at the Red Cross Bhavan in Bangalore.  People’s Trust was identified as the top 10 organisers of Voluntary Blood Donation Camps for the years  2009-10 and 2010-11 to receive this prestigious award.  The Governor of the state of Karnataka  has always  been the Chief Patron  of the Red Cross Society.

We have been organsing these camps annually to commemorate the birthday of the founding Managing Trustee of People’s Trust – Sri Dharmadarshi NC Nanaiah on the 11th of August every year.  We have felt that this would be the most meaningful way of celebrating the occasion and also to continue the legacy of service that Dharmadarshi had initiated.

We owe all our endeavors of service to the divine grace and blessings of our beloved spiritual preceptor and Guru, His Holiness Sri Sadguru Sai Shankar under whose divine direction and guidance  Dharmadarshi Nanaiah founded People’s Trust .  We  continue to draw strength and wisdom from the Sadguru and seek His constant Grace and Blessings and commit ourselves to His guidance and will always surrender to His Will.

We dedicate the award to the sincere  hard efforts put in by the  staff of People’s Trust and the enthusiastic involvement of the members of the Central Development Council of the  villages adopted by People’s Trust to organise and support  these camps. We are grateful to the well-wishers who have voluntarily come forward to donate the blood and make the camps a success. We felted very honoured and humbled to know that the blood collected at these camps have gone to save lives especially of needy women in the backward districts of Karnataka under the campaign of Health Mission undertaken by the Govt. of India, which the Red Cross is actively supporting.

The award has given us an added impetus to help support the cause of Voluntary Blood Donations and an awareness about the urgent and dire  need of blood for needy patients. which presently is constantly in short supply. We now feel more responsible to ensure that we enhance the number of Donors for this noble cause.

We humbly request your involvement for the service activities of the Trust and thank you for the constant support given all along.

in divine service

Harish Uthaiah
